Makina Protocol Launch: The Machines Go Live
Season 1 will officially begin on Oct 27 at 12:00 UTC.
Season 0 was about bootstrapping liquidity, aligning incentives, and opening up early access to Machine Tokens. Over the past month, millions in TVL flowed into the Pre-Launch Machines (at peak USD 94M). Participants earned base yield on their assets, stacked Tickets, accumulated Points, and set the stage for what comes next.
On Monday Oct 27th, the Machines go fully live.
Machine Migration and Season 1 opening
Over the weekend of Oct 24th, the Pre-Launch Machines will be migrated to actively managed Machines. Each Machine (DETH, DUSD, and DBIT) will now be operated and managed by Dialectic, Makina’s first Operator. Season 1 will officially begin on Oct 27 at 12:00 UTC.
Dialectic is an industry-leading crypto-native investment firm specialized in generating risk-adjusted yields from DeFi. For years, their DeFi strategies have been operated in a private manner, deploying capital for investors, Crypto OGs, protocol treasuries, institutions and high networth individuals. Dialectic only manages capital onchain, without exposure to centralized exchanges or any other type of off-chain activity. They were among the first to deploy into Curve, Wire, and Synthetix, Sushiswap and other early vintage DeFi protocols.
As a Dialectic Machine Token holder (DUSD, DETH, DBIT), you are now part of this lineage, yielding on your assets across multiple chains, with an Operator who is constantly searching for the best possible risk-adjusted yields using Makina’s unique infrastructure.
During Season 0, deposits earned base yield through Morpho lending positions. In Season 1, capital will be actively managed by Dialectic’s expert portfolio managers. This marks the shift to a new era for onchain professional strategies.
What else changes in Season 1
- Ticket accumulation comes to a close: Tickets were exclusive to participants in Season 0 and will no longer be issued moving forward. Participants from Season 0 will soon see the dollar value of the Tickets they earned on the dashboard.
- Points continue accruing: Machine Token holders continue earning Points during Season 1.
- Slashing is over: You can now move or withdraw your tokens without forfeiting points, but do so at your own discretion. For example: If you remove from the Curve pool, you will continue to earn points but your point multiplier for being in the Curve pool will stop.
- Refreshed multiplier incentives: Curve multiplier gets boosted to 3x. Other multipliers will be introduced during the season, including integrations like Pendle. As always, to get the information first, keep an eye out for announcements on X and Telegram.
- Bug bounty goes live: Our 22 ETH (~100K USD) Capture the Flag competition with Cantina.xyz has finished during Season 0 without any noteworthy incident. We have now closed this program and will launch an ongoing bug bounty campaign on Cantina starting Oct 27, 2025. Details on the bug bounty program will be available on Cantina’s official website.
DeFi integrations for Machine Tokens (MTs)
Makina continues expanding the DeFi composability of MTs:

These new integrations will introduce new strategy options for MT holders.
What you need to do now
If you’re already holding Machine Tokens, either in your wallet or in a Curve pool, you continue accumulating points automatically. There’s nothing you need to do right now but let the Machines do their job with Dialectic at the helm.
When new integrations go live, we’ll share full details on how to participate, stake, or earn additional rewards.
Pay attention to the leaderboard as this is going to influence eligibility for the limited NFT drop we are working on. Details on this will be released during Season 1 and we’re optimistic that this drop will be something quite unique and never been done before.
Caps on the Machines will be gradually increased during Season 1 but will be overall limited to preserve the strategies’ capacity to generate competitive and healthy risk adjusted yields. This decision will be thoughtfully made by Dialectic as the Operator of the Machines.
